Used,abused and abandoned

Streamwood Il

I saw this doll on the tree while hiking at Bode Lake forest preserve in Streamwood Il.
At a first moment I experienced a cold chills over my body because I was thinking is a real child left there !

Sometimes I feel like that :-(

o, my God...this is me. as a baby, my grandfather, raped me and left me hanging out to dry. i was seven years old but felt like an infant. he told me if I told anyone he would skin me like a catfish, so I never did. please forgive me, but this is the first time I have ever felt as if anyone has captured what I felt.

My husband just got back from Mississippi, he went down with our church to help the survivors of Katrina. He told me of a story of seeing a ladys purse just hanging in a tree. This truck me like his story. Surviving after a storm.

Its so odd. I had the same experience! The second i saw this shot i went running for the one i took for comparison. of course they re not the same doll. mine was found in the woods of long island, but its the same pose and everything. eerie..

I still experienced the chill in the spine knowing that it was a doll :)

Ahhhhhhhhrg. Interesting shot all around. the darkness, texture of the tree, the life-like doll.

Great photojournalism. But a bit sadistic though.

Very creepy, like something from "Children of the Corn".
Great catch for you though! =)

It's nice to see I'm not the only one photographing junk in the preserves... I've built up quite a collection of odd things handing in trees over the years, including a deer skull and spine!
