20100124 - Rock Island

MonoMonth

What a dull dismal day, weekend in fact :o(
At least I got to take the tripod for a paddle.

Rocks
There's a flash on the tree, top left and I had a snooted flash off to the left and behind the rock.

Extraordinary shot, so thoughtfully worked out! Dramatic lighting making it mysterious and fabulous reflections in the water! v
Stewart Mitchell25-Jan-2010 20:32
Well if nature won't do it's bit and supply the dramatic light...you have to create your own, which you have managed to do here to crate a quite extraordinary effect. Love the suggestion of a "cave" at the front of the rock!!

The master at work...I hope you didn't get your knees wet when you were chimping this shot, LOL!! Fab stuff - I would never have known this took three flashes (as it were) to get the shot...but it's paid off, the light is spectacular on the rock and the waves, excellent exposure!
