Not a good place for rabbits :-(

There were dead ones all over the place. Then there was one just sitting in the middle of the road, I think it was hoping someone would run over it - it didn't look at all well :-(

I was in Swaledale a couple of years ago, and the valley was littered with dead rabbits. Like you, I came across one sitting in the road, so I took a closer look. The poor thing was blind, and listless...what we call myxied...and sadly a quick death from shooting, or indeed a car, is the best way out.
A photo which, in many ways, is pure country.

Eewww, that's not nice...it's one thing to kill the wee blighters, quite another to revel in it...still, it makes for a visually dramatic if rather sombre and raw photo.
