Len & I celebrated our 25th anniversary on a barge like this that went along the canals in Loire region for a week through gorgeous locks and canal bridges, including a beautiful one designed by Eiffel. Of course, the barge we took was fixed up for passesgers & there was a young chef who fixed all the meals, picking up local breads, wines and cheeses in the little villages along the way.
