Rudolfinum is the home of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra
Located in the Jewish Quarter by the Vltava River, this neo-renaissance building was completed on 1885.
On the left, facing the building is the statue of composer Antonín Dvorák, whose most famous work is his symphony #9 “From the New World”.
The name of the square in front of the Rudolfinum was changed from the Square of Red Army Soldiers to Jan Palach Square in honor of the student who burn himself to death on Jan 1969 to protest the Soviet suppression of the 1968 Prague Spring reform.
