The Baptistry of St. John (Battistero di San Giovanni) was designed by Diotisalvi. It was constructed in 1152 - 1363. The lower part is in Romanesque style and the upper part in Gothic style.
At a height of almost 55 m, it is the largest baptistry in Italy.
