Beethoven's Grave

Upon his death on the 26th March 1828 Beethoven was buried at the Wahring Cemetery.

In 1888 the remains of both Beethoven and Schubert were moved to the Central Cemetery of Vienna

where they now lie peacefully just a few feet apart. Closer in death then they ever were in life.
