Thanks Peter. I do rely on the fact that people often don't realise they are in shot with the wide-angle lens; but I also rely to some extent on being seen as a crazy gwai-lo tourist! But I also suspect that the people playing chinese chess are often proud of the game and culture, and in a way are pleased to have a "tourist" take the picture. I may be wrong ...

I love all your photos, especially the candid shots of the people of HK.
How did you get them to ignore your camera? Did they not recognized the WA lens and think you were only shooting the chess set? Or did they give you more respect because you are a Westerner (gwai lo)? Cheers!
