Our entire Island is abuzz about this new ferry.
It's bigger...much bigger than anything we've been
used to. It's faster, only 30 minutes instead of the
usual 45 minutes. And with multiple car decks there
should be less waiting in stand by lines for the next
boat. And if that's not enough, it has a pool on the topside!!
Just kidding about that part. Maybe it was just an oversight.

I shed a really big tear looking at the CapeCod Times article on the hail and farewell to our beloved Islander. Dad even got up and talked about the time it hit the rock off the Chop and limped back into shore. Even Ma was a little shook that day. All I know is that if I'm the last one off this behemouth I will be walking to Chilmark since noone will wait for me :( So much for beautiful fall passages, when you don't want the ride to end. Now, "this side forward or the other side aft" to get offa this thing :) I'll find out next week :) YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!
