11th October 2005 sound of rain

We're off for a few days.
Heavy rain last night,
but I like that sound.

Excellent, dreamlike, redolent, wonderful, atmospheric image. [I used to love lying in a tent at night, when I was little, listening to the rain (...especially on holidays in Scotland -- ...not that I'm saying it rains there all the time y'understand? Sometimes it snows, as well...!?!). It's very comforting, still, just to let the sound run over you....]

Such a great photograph, that I feel an urge to vote coming on....
