Wow!! My grandfather came from the Isle of Lewis. When he was a youngster, his father had been a fisherman and sought a less harsh life by emigrating to Canada in the late 1800s. My grandfather came to the US in his early 20s and ended up working at a Vermont farm where he met my grandmother, a farmer's daughter. Do you have any images of the Isle of Lewis?
