We also made another weekend trip to Fort Morgan, AL to photograph the fort. Gaines had a International Pickup truck with a cover on the back. Inside the back were two wooden benches that four or more people could ride on. Fort Morgan was about a two hour drive from Milton, and in those days there was no interstate highways. But we were young, and the trip was a good way to get away from the base and Milton.
