This is the rear light for two separate ranges. The front lights are Île Noire and Île Louët. There was an unlighted day beacon here beginning in 1775. This lighthouse is the common rear light for the Chenal de Tréguier (the entrance range for the Rade de Morlaix) and also for the Grand Chenal of the Baie de Morlaix.
