Marta Becket's unique creation the Amargosa Opera House and Hotel was one of the highlight of the journey. We took a tour inside the Opera House in which the 80 something Marta still performs dance concerts. She also has painted all the walls of the Opera House with murals that nightly enlarge her audience. Here is a detail of some nuns gossiping hopefully not during the performance. I like the splash of lit particles in the bottom right because they represent to me the light Marta has brought to this desert environment for over 40 years.
