Beyond Color

Often Fall color shots only focus on the bright, rich colors. I like that this image takes us beyond the yellow to the brown and eventual decay.

From viewing the thumbnail, I liked the composition and the placement of the leaves. Once I viewed it full size, I really liked how the patterns of the surface of the water, the menisci caused by the water surface tension, is showing in the photo. I like the small details such as the light patterns captured on the water, and the crisscross of the stems of the leaves.

Wonderful color and tension in the water from the leaves.
