First time I have EVER done this! Managed to delete today's image and comments! MUST be tired! I could follow the back button and retrieve
the lovely comments some of you had already made! They mean a lot, and so, I have copied and pasted them as I reload today's PAD!

My parents picked me up and took me to their house today for our annual tree assembling and decorating! (Still can't drive!) I love real
Christmas trees, but the rest of my family has succumbed to the fake tree syndrome! ;-) Progress took a turn for the worst, as the
majority of strings of lights had MAJOR problems! Bet that’s never happened to any of you! ;-) After MUCH time testing those
tiny bulbs, we finally got the tree decorated. Here is the little angel that we have topped our tree with since I was a little girl!
I can’t remember a Christmas without this angel on my parent’s tree! No matter how old and faded she gets, she must
be a part of our Christmas! By the time my Dad put her on the top of the tree, my foot was too tired to mess
with the good old tripod! Shot this handheld at 1600! Not the best shot, but a great tradition!!

Great shot Mindy! A sentimental look into your holiday spirit!

It's the old things that make a Christmas... not the gifts under the tree or the Roast Beef dinner (tho that helps alot, lol) but the memories of Christmases past. I like your little angel.

Wonderful tradition.
You are pretty steady with the hand-held!

A great tradition! We have a similar, old angel - ratty and quite outdated. But we just cannot bring ourselves to replace it, no matter what! Very nice, and well done for handheld ISO1600!

Nice shot with a hint of the tree in the bg. Must have been lots of fun to decorate.

A lovely shot commemorating your family tradition! And it's nice to get a glimpse, through the photo and your caption, of what you all do each year, quite special!
Linda Willets11-Dec-2005 06:07
she is lovely.. important to have those traditions
Guest 11-Dec-2005 06:03
I love specials traditions like this. We have an old Ruldoph...broken neck and all that goes on our tree every year since I was born. Amazingly clear shot without a tripod and such a high ISO!

Our fairy is one our daughter made in kindergarten over 30 years ago...nothing can replace it. I love yours too Mindy.

Very nice, warm shot. Nice that this tradition continues.

Gary Winters 11-Dec-2005 04:45
That's very sweet. We had an angel like that as well, year after year after year. It's a wonderful tradition! Your shot came out very well, in my humble opinion!
