Certainly the best buy among Nikkor lenses, 50mm f1.8 shines literally in this test. Bokeh is well controlled, with only slight edge brightness "overshoot". Acceptable artifact quantity with more pleasant poligonal shape at f2.8 than 50mm f1.4. Better sharpness at f2.8, and exceptional at f4.0 and up.
