"Down, down, down. Would the fall never come to an end? ....". "I wonder if I shall fall fight through the earth! How funny it'll seem to come out among the people that walk with their heads downwards! The ANTIPATHIES...."
This simple thought, which many remember from the days they first read "Alice In Wonderland",
always made me smile. What if you fall through the Earth and come out on the other side where
people should walk this way and everything is upside down...? For the moment I tried to imagine
this and that was the start of the gallery. I just pointed my camera down towards the Earth and
tried to imagine what would I see.
Important! Please do not turn your head when watching images. Just accept the reality :-)
Please let me know if you find my craziness interesting and if you feel crazy
enough to vote, I appreciate it :-)
Michael. I really like your work! I was looking for images to represent "Down the Rabbit Hole", which is how I found your pictures. They are exactly what I had in mind, although they are much more elegant than I even imagined.
I will have to come back at another time and check out the rest of your work.
Absolutely loved your gallery - found it difficult to resist turning my screen upside don, then did turn it upside down... But, affter about ten minutes I tried again, and when I began to see the images for what they are, I enjoyed the gallery even more. Congratulations!
It's a great sensation to enjoy something so close to and yet so far from reality.
I flipped monitor vertically and tried to feel like a rabbit , but it did not work out... Nonetheless this futuristic interpretation of Toronto's reality, in my opinion, went in to annals ( don't mix with anals ) of human civilization from the very moment when posted ! V

Wow! very unique. i love how it is presented. I can imagine more galleries like this will pop up in pbase soon :D
Steve. I appreciate your comment and I'm completely fine with this. It actually came as a
bit of surprise to me, since I never (LOL) seen them in normal orientation. When I was
shooting, I was trying to invision how they would look when I will reverse them. When I
processed them I reversed then before I even lightroom them.
On the other hand You do not turn upside down Escher's work.
Well, I'm not trying to compare of course :-)
Michael, your inventiveness never ceases to amaze me. Looking at this gallery wthout turning my head was however like trying to stop blinking. I apologise for ruining the spirit of it, but eventually lifted my flat screen and turned it over. Wow - I loved them - I was transported into a modern Escheresque fantasy world enanced by the HDR. I spent along time looking at them and loved everyone!! Sorry! Massive vote!

Quite an imagination Michael. Very nice HDR gallery.
fantastic work Michael!! I liked the film and these images correspond well with the mindboggling logic of quantummechanics....very fresh and inspiring and with a very welcome touch of humor! how I love it! ~V~
Makes me think of a picture in a book my little brother had in grammar school..."Many peoplia upsidedownia". Anyway, are you sure these weren't taken in the southern hemisphere?
Edith. Thank you very much. I'm enormously happy that you said this. MC Escher's works are my long time favorite and I had this in back of my mind when I shot this pictures. So your words for me is the real recognition that I did not fail completely :-)
