This photo was probably shot during a field trip to aother archaeological site. The truck-bed riders considered themselves to be the privileged ones, bouncing through the Central America countryside in the back of this red Chevy. The open-air feel increased the authentic, intimate rythym of the scenery, devoid of any female chatter from the truck's cab!
Note the unique Nohmul T-shirt, designed by a project artist and printed in Belize. Not sure about the French sleeve, though!
Assuredly, the cassette player (Sony Walkman; the iPod of the early 1980's) in al's lap is loaded with island reggae. . . PEACE, Maan...
