3 Species of Thrushes

Land Between the Lakes; Stewart Co TN

This shot is greatly enlarged, but shows our 3 west TN species of Catharus Thrush that just pass through. I spent probably 30 minutes enjoying up to 6 thrushes (3 Swainson's,2 Veery and a Gray-cheeked) foraging in the road in front of me, along with a somewhat out of place Lincoln's Sparrow. It took a little while to get all 3 species close enough for even a bad photo.

The very cold-toned bird on the left, with no buff on the face or breast is a Gray-cheeked, the bird in the back with obvious buff on the face is a Swainson's, and of course off to the right is the overall reddish thrush with the very pale flanks; Veery.
