I have been wanting a shot of a LeConte's since I got my new camera a couple of months ago. This bird was very cooperative for Q.B. Gray and I, and the 1st time in this big field I've been able to work a bird into the edge of the field.

I had hoped to be a little closer, as we were at least 10-15 yards away form where this little jewel was checking us out. I didn't see the bird until it started that distincive little chip note of theirs.
