Red-necked Grebe

The same features are again evident, and also while it isn't particualry obvious in these photos, the bird was clearly larger than the Horned Grebes it stayed with. You can just see the faint dark line that cuts through the pale cheek, another remnant of juvenile plumage. When 1st found we though the bird was an adult due to the neck color, but finally got the details we needed to age it.
