Clay-colored Sparrow

Falcon SP; TX

Clay-colored Sparrows were encountered several times, usually in single species flocks of up to a couple of dozen birds. This lone bird was at the feeding station at Falcon State Park. The very clean-cut pattern to the facial markings make this a very spiffy bird, if not especially colorful.
