"Tante" is the Dutch/Afrikaans (and probably
Flemisch and Belgian as well) word for Aunty.
when i discovered this grave, i felt a particular
pang of sadness, even though i never knew this lady.
it is clear that she was affectionately known as
"tante" or "aunty" to her relatives.
