Knock, and it shall be opened unto you...maybe.

Firenze - Tuscany (Italy)

Santa Maria Novella door.
This church was called Novella (New) because it was built on the site of the 9th century oratory of Santa Maria delle Vigne.
When the site was assigned to Dominican Order in 1221, they decided to build a new church and an adjoining cloister.

I appreciate the fine details and the softness of the colors in your rendition.

A fine door to the church. The colour is calming.
Great time of day to photograph without the crowds and stark sunlight. v

Unusual colors for a church, but looks definitely delightful for the eye. The door is a fine craftsmanship and the one lying at the door - though I feel sorry for her - nicely harmonizes in color. V

I like your off-center composition and again the delicious pastels. Sad to see the person sleeping on the street amidst all this grandeur.
