Farewell Barney

We returned from our holiday in Italy today to find that our faithful Barney died (of old age and natural causes) on Tuesday last. The family paid him a dignified farewell and didn't tell us till we arrived home. After fifteen and a half years he was a major presence in our home and we'll miss him dearly. In the last two years he was one of my most faithful subjects as I experimented with the complications of dslr photography indoors.

I know that time has passed and not wanting to stir up anything....but I know all too well what you were going through. I am sure that some of that pain is eased up. I still think of my babies that I have lost and the memories puts a tear in my eye and a smile on my face. I still love them all!!!!

Oh - how very sad.....and what a little beauty. The fact that you used him as your subject for your dslr experiments at least means you've got some nice pics of him.

Was so excited to see you back, now I'm sorry you're back to such sad news :o( Enny's right, take care of yourself, it doesn't have to be ok, it sucks even if he was one hundred years old. The fact that he's missed means he was a special pup :o)
