Dick " Was " the coach in our town for over 30 years, from football, basketball, and baseball. His favorite though was basketball where Tenino never won a state championship ,but several great appearances esp. in the early 60's with " Gordy Harris " in the state " B " Championships and took Tenino state . Dick's last state placing was 4th in the 1978 state tourney where the Beavers placed fourth with players " Brent Williams, Ryan Robertson, Eddie Baker, Kevin Kroness, and Howie Johnson " . Dick was placed in the " B Basketball hall of fame. He even coached my dad in the 50's. Small towns are awesome and people remember forever ,, good or bad!!
