Wonderful textures and colors. The little bits of red really add to the photo, but the mushroom is the star.

They look delicious...edible or not !!
Pedro Libório26-Sep-2004 21:59
quite nice details here!
regards.

I like all the different textures. The stick would make a perfect "Y" in Carmen's "Now I Know My ABC's" gallery!
jypsee26-Sep-2004 18:11
hmmm....I don't like the stick...at least not trisecting the frame..
Guest 26-Sep-2004 17:44
are they edible? :) are they MAGIC? ;)

Beautiful softness yet detail to this shot. I like the framing here and the stick lying across the top

The red berries set off the main subject well.

Delicious.

Mistake, the silvaticus has a red, rusty coloured head. This is Agaricus Silvicola.
Lou Giroud26-Sep-2004 13:27
Agaricus Silvaticus, good edible species. The wood resident cousin of the common elevation mushroom one finds in stores. Those ones have a slight smell of anneth.

Nice composition.

They look similar to the ones that pop up everywhere at our place too, perhaps
they're the edible sort? Nice Picture, I like the red berries.

Very nice, Larry. That twig adds interest to the photo.

Good capture! What sharpening do you use in your workflow?
Karen Stuebing26-Sep-2004 12:24
If it's anything like here then it's been a wet spring/summer/fall and the fungus are everywhere.

I like your mushroom shots and this is a pretty one.
