Camping without a fee station, numbered sites, campground host, noisy generators, squealing children, quiet hours

Silver Island Mountains, Utah

A vision of blissful solitude to say the least: I was the only person for miles around,
being about a mile from the Silver Island Backcountry Byway. The ice chest and storage
containers are on the ground to give me room to sleep in the car. Still to do: have
breakfast and pack my gear for the hike. Cobb Peak is out of view to the left.

There was not enough light to shoot without a tripod, so Joe Tripod stepped in to render his usual assistance.

actually it's not quite ruleless; Dave's walking stick has 12 inch (30 cm) graduations.
