On the first day of a road trip to Utah, I made a side trip east of Pendleton, Oregon to explore the wye at Gibbon. This construction came to my attention while surfing Google Earth. A question often posed by the wise is, "Why wyes? Answer: "Because they are there." This shot looks south toward the head of the wye, where the track runs up to the base of the hill.
