Pensive at the precipice

Arches National Park view map

Note how I’m leaning into the fence. My fear of heights caused me to do that. I was thinking about what would happen if I took two steps forward. Knowing that those would be my final two steps was enough to make me use the fence as a mental crutch. Yes, being close to the edge was scary.

As usual, my photographic assistant, Joe Tripod, was absolutely still while holding my camera. His sense of calm gave me the confidence to stand so close to the edge.

The undulating, shadowy terrain in front of me is a deep side canyon of Salt Wash. Delicate Arch is just out of view to the left, a mile (1.6km) away). The view is to the southeast. This was the turn-around point of my first hike to the precipice of Salt Wash canyon.

That small black thing in the air is a bird.

Dave, you're lucky all that undulating didn't make you dizzy. Otherwise the "raven" would have been a "harbinger" of "disaster."

Thank you for all your help, Dave. I will certainly be contacting Mr. Cooper.

Never take a raven for what it seems. Those absorbed in pensiveness are very susceptible to trickery, sorcery, and manipulation. I can say no more.

Larry, the person to discuss psyops retraining is JVC in Putney:http://www.pbase.com/john_cooper/ufo .
Lee, where do I sign up?

Sure it's a bird, Dave. That's what they want us to think.
BTW how're the psyops retraining classes?
I am scheduled there in November.

Perhaps I can interest you in a ride , shotgun of course, down the Schaffer Trail!

"Bird" was a cheap ruse designed to fool untrained observers. I fully expected anyone associated with Raven Aviation to see through the deception.

Yeah, sure, a bird. Agent Listorama, your deception skills are in need of honing.
