It took me 3 years to get a relatively clean shot of this secretive bittern, so even if I'm not too happy with the detail, it joins my elite list for rarity of capture.

Beautiful shot. She's got a sad look. Maybe that is why. Her partner is missing.

Well done Romy! We've observed they come in pairs so maybe the partner was just nearby. I hope one of you guys will also digi-capture the reported White Shoulder Starlings if they are still in Candaba so we will have a firm record of this species rarely seen in the Phils.
