Habitat - Smallest Philippine woodpecker, common in lowland and montane forest and edge,
in understory and canopy.

This detailed capture of the smallest woodpecker in the Philippines replaces the photo of the same specie in my Top endemics list. The clean background, eye contact, spot-on exposure and decent noise control at ISO 800 makes this a better pic than the previous one. I doubt if there's a more detailed pic elsewhere of this specie taken in the wild.
