Grass Owl

This owl hunts during sundown and just before sun up. I was lucky to chance upon it while there's still enough light for fast shutter speeds, which is necessary to freeze it in flight. The head turn, ideal wing position and frame-filling detail easily qualify this rare flight capture to be in my Top non-Endemics list.

This really is a stunner. Your Grass Owl looks very similar to the Barn Owls we get here in the UK.
