I know I’ve done these shots before, more times than is decent when you’re doing a PAD. However, if I need to defend the pic (and I’m not sure I do) then it’s taken after a long day’s work trying to get my ‘toes in a row’ before going on holiday, then straight into the kitchen to do dinner for David’s sister and her family. On that basis, there is no time for photographic genius or niceties.
The remains of the dinner are on the table – a near-empty box of chocs and their wrappers scattered around, lots of empty wine bottles, David’s Polaroid camera and the photo that has been his PAD today lying in among the debris.
The humans are blurry because, well wouldn’t you be blurry after four bottles of wine? Oh – that’s except Will (back left), who is blurry simply because thirteen year old boys don’t sit still for 20 seconds do they? Now come on, that’s not realistic! I think that David and James are exchanging notes on harmonicas just out of the frame.
Last year, I was breaking things.
