19th June 2007 - lazy

OK – we all know this is shite – but I’m sorry that I have the excuse ‘please sir, I didn’t do my homework’ because once again this lazy girl has been trying to crowbar in four times as much into her day as there is humanly possible to do.

I’ve already burned the lunch (by vacuuming while it was cooking– I shamed myself into deciding it couldn’t wait for enough hours in the day) and now probably the dinner as well (by doing this) – all a disaster area because of trying to multi-task until I keel over.

So, I pick the mange tout, think ‘it’s the best I can think of’ and shoot the pea – going for a shot I’ve seen so many times now, including by myself before that I’m bored half-rigid with it before it even gets out of the camera. (I hope no-one takes offence to that or my day really will be made.)

Then I see the spider – it’s bloody minute and this is a whacking crop of yards of space.

Why am I lazy? Well in the opinion of some newbie in one of the forums, I’m lazy because I don’t repost my pad in the meta-gallery four times a day (as are the rest of us by the way – he didn’t single me out for criticism). It just got my back up and I posted a response, breaking my own personal rule of never posting in the forums – all it ever does for me is bite me in the bum. Then I saw the error of my ways and retreated.

Should this photo exist – yes, I still maintain that forcing myself to shoot every day, no matter what other things are going on in my world is the best medicine I can have – now I know I’ve got to do better tomorrow – and that’s my challenge!

So, it may be a lazy photo but it's still a PAD and it's still mine. Now I'm off to put on my hair shirt and flagelate......and you'll have to decide whether that's for being lazy, shite or gobby

Multi Tasking - The art of messing up more than one things at once (well that's what happens when I try to do it) but the photo is definitely not shite and as far as the lazy thing goes ... I'll need to check up on the forums and see what this this is all about. Coming out of overdrive myself and I doubt I could have taken such a nice photo during it!

For what it's worth the meta gallery has been abused since it was first introduced, no amount of debate ever did it any good and it's definitely not worth loosing sleep over, myself I've often considered migrating to a different photohost.. but I'm so comfy here!

When you can figure out how to do three things at the same time - please let me know.. No wait, I really don't want to go there...

Lazy bugga. It's a neat pic of the spider though but.

Nice macro even with the crop.

Not shite at all... unpretentious, honest, artistic, and if that's your definition of lazy, then I give up now...

LOL @ JJ! You're the least lazy person I know, and I think this shot is, actually, pretty good!!!

You may need to crawl across some broken glass too! No I forgive you.
By the way multi-tasking is only cocking up many things at the same time.
