11th May 2007 - a bleeding heart?

You’re nuts!

I’ve done one of these before and on both occasions the nuts have been given to us by real heartbreakers. Last time the broken nut was donated by Pirate Pete’s daughter Sarah. She broke it open over Christmas then decided she couldn’t bear to eat a perfect heart so she decided that we should have it to photograph and we both did! She may be only the tender age of thirteen but she’s going to break lots of hearts as she grows up – she’s stunningly beautiful.

This time, the nut was donated by Becks – another heartbreakingly lovely woman. Sadly she doesn’t realise just how beautiful she is – I think that’s a great shame because she should be revelling in it rather than hiding away. She’s got the double whammy of gifts – great beauty and also a real inner beauty too. She's got a real heart of gold.

I’m ‘heartbroken’ today because we’d planned a real treat for tomorrow with Iain and Becks – a Eurovision supper, complete with scorecards and Eurovision food. Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen now because Iain has Ofstead to contend with on Monday so he’s loathe to commit to anything over the weekend…..I am gutted because tomorrow (as you may already know if you’re a regular here) is one of my annual highlights! I’m not entirely sure that Iain felt the same when I told him what they’d miss – in fact, he may well have thought he’d had a lucky escape!!!

So, DM and I will have a ‘private’ Eurovision supper, still with scorecards and Eurovision food but without the good company (other than each other) to go with it.

Am I nuts? Dunno about that but cracked certainly!

Cack train shots were in my world last year!

I'll be with you in spirit if not person Linda! Anyone who works with schools knows that just the mention of Ofsted is enough to send everyone in a "work all hours" spin. We are waiting for the letter saying that they are paying us a visit. They used to give lots of notice but to stop schools going mad in the few weeks before they arrived they now only give a couple of days notice - it doesn't stop the tailspin but it doesn't go on as long.

Love the idea of Eurovision scorecards - you could almost fill them in beforehand!
