Day 2 of ‘the work’ and we’ve got a new ceiling….but the plasterer had to go to hospital because he got plaster in his eye! Poor chap – he did look a state with his red, puffy eye…..I hope he’s better soon.
The white cable across the floor is the Sky box cable and it means that we can watch the game tonight on the TV if not in person. We’ve only got a tiny portable TV so it’s often hard to even identify which player has the ball but that wouldn’t stop us watching and cheering on the Lilywhites.
Today is a big day – we’ve got 2 matches to play and are playing a contender for ‘our’ UEFA spot.
We’ve done the calculations (best case scenario 5th, worst case scenario 8th) and we’ve got our kit on.
So, as it’s just about to kick off all I have left to say is ‘COYS’ – or to the uninitiated ‘Come On You Spurs’!
Ooohhhh - last year, I was having a grand time with my buddy! (And discovering I'd been a few feet away from a lady who has become a really special friend without knowing it - yep Gail, that's you!)
A few little extras to this....
1. YES, I am wearing decorating trousers - the trouser monster has eaten all my others - or else someone who thinks I am a great doyenne of fashion has stolen them in the night - personally I reckon the trouser monster is more likely!
2. The Spurs NEED YOU - give my boys a cheer as you read this - we're a goal down at half time.
3. Thanks to Paul for the scarf, it is thirty years old or more!
4. Love to Sarah - she's had a rotten day and isn't at the footie.
