21st March 2007 - what lies beneath

Hot, sweaty environment, moisture, light and what do you get? Festering green stuff that’s what.

I popped into the greenhouse at lunchtime to see if anything needed watering and to check everything had survived the bitterly cold (for us) night last night – BTW I reckon Christine had a better handle on it, and found that this was growing on the top of one of my pots.

I’m not sure if the seed inside the pot had given up hope and this is instead of seedling or if the seedling may still emerge. We’ll have to see what happens.

Anyway, in my usual warped way, I decided that it’s make a good photo for today, what with the sun glinting on it and all.

It does make you wonder though doesn’t it? …..you know about stuff? Seemingly healthy things going in and all the right conditions and then this – bam – nasty stuff going on beneath the surface.

As Depeche Mode would have said ‘it’s a lot like life’! Mind you, they do go on to say 'and that's what's appealing'.....but then they were talking about Master and Servant - not some green gloop, a good old-fashioned bit of s&m.....OK - I suppose you're right, it's very very different to green gloop! Perhaps it's the fact that last year, I was doing a 'reveal' that brought that to mind! - ha that got ya!

Lovely picture, and I love the word gloop. It could be anything nasty and sticky.
