….for a few days at least.
I got myself all worked up last night with all that talk of ‘master and servant’ so hence the photo today – I must say, it all turned out rather nicely I thought.
Shiny, especially metal, objects are terribly difficult to do well, aren’t they? It took me forty-odd goes at this to get one I liked – ah the beauty of digital……oh no, did I really say that? I’m going to find myself chained to a chair later and given a severe lecture about Kodachrome and Provia, Polaroids and Pinholes. Me? I’m such a digital girl, which is probably a bit surprising for an unreserved supporter of records (as opposed to CDs), making stuff (as opposed to buying it ready made), growing stuff (as opposed to buying it full of chemicals and nasties).
To be honest though, I am jolly chuffed with my efforts and my digital freedom to keep shooting until I got one I liked. One of these days, I will get around to minimising effort because I work out how to get a good shot without exposure bracketing, changes to flash settings, focal length adjustments and the like but that time has not come yet and I dunno if anyone else with a 10d notices this but the display on the back is really bright compared to the photo – even with the histogram I am still often tempted to think I’ve got a good exposure when in fact, I’ve got it completely wrong.
Freedom from (one sort at least) of slavery for four days is now mine. I do, though, get a different kind of drudgery because I am working on a different project over a long weekend – don’t get all excited because it is one of our little ‘secrets’ so I won’t be talking about it on pbase, or anywhere else for that matter. I must say, it’s not very exciting anyway, it really is just some drudge that will ‘keep us in dog food’ for a while.
Now, what did I do with that bit of chain? (hee hee)
Last year? Porky's Prime Cuts.......make of that what you will.
