28th August 2006 - generous curves and warm colours

I’ve shot this Galileo’s thermometer several times before, as did DM in his time doing PAD. Somehow though I’ve never been happy with mine – my first attempt, although quite jolly wasn’t sharp and my second was a bit lifeless. As this thing is very vibrant, I somehow didn’t feel as if I’d done it justice.

Coming into the sitting room, after a bath, following a long hard slog in the garden, lifting onions and potatoes then laying weed control matting on the part of the veggie patch they’d vacated, I was feeling pretty shattered. I’m covered in ‘stings’ from not realising that nettles can sting though the weed control mat so I have stings just about all over my legs, arms and hands. Youch!

This weekend, with DMs folks here, I’m pleased to have been able to find a high proportion of our food from within our own borders. We’ve had home-grown corn-on-the-cobs, lasagne made with a selection of stuff from the veggie patch, potatoes and lots of herbs from our own supplies, not to mention home-laid eggs and the rest of the weekend’s produce all very local!

Now though, I’m tired and a bit jaded so I was glad when I looked over to the window ledge and saw the curvaceous-ness of way the balls were sitting, coupled with the glorious colours and I thought that I’d got my shot. A good day to do another Galileo shot and this time to try to get a half-decent one.

In fact, I do like this a great deal so I think I can set this thing aside now and move on to something else!

Last year, Mike and DM were chimping!

LOL@Northy, but I do love 'her' curves...
I have only shot a Galileo once and that was when I asked a shop assistant to let me :-)

Turned out well. Nice of Gallileo to let you shoot his balls.
