I’m feeling a bit more ‘bubbly’ tonight after a fairly down moment yesterday.
It may have something to do with the fact that I am safely back west of the Tamar – that’s always a huge relief these days. It could also have something to do with me clutching a very big contract in my hand from a new client, who came to me for a project on recommendation from one of his colleagues. I love it when that happens. It may even be that with my ‘marketing hat’ on, I know I’ve caused a stir in our industry again……with more than a little help from DM so we’re doing a grand job as a team.
So, all-in-all, work has been kind to me today and I feel quite jolly as a result of that.
I came in and had no idea what I would do for a pic but I ‘found’ this one quite painlessly really – just ambling into the kitchen and seeing the steam reminded me that I had been thinking about trying for this shot for some time….well, today’s the day.
It’s a pan of whole-grain basmati rice that’s about to get served with a very disappointing chilli. Disappointing because it wasn’t spicy enough, even though it had two red chillis in it.
Just so there can be no room for doubt about my cack-ness, the lid of this pan now has a big chip in it, after I dropped it onto the kitchen floor about five minutes after this shot was taken.
Isn’t it weird how when some things are ‘up’ others are very definitely ‘down’.
Last year? Yep - same old, same old - more time please!
