About 25 years ago, my then best friend Ian Jakeman (long time no see Ian) gave me this peanut butter maker for Christmas, knowing my love of peanut butter. You put the peanuts in the top, wind the red handle and peanut butter comes out of Mr Peanut's ear - lovely!
It has been languishing at the back of a cupboard gathering dust for longer than I can remember and surfaced when the cupboards were cleared for the new kitchen. I remembered my folks giving me an article from the Observer saying how Mr Peanut had become an icon of pop art and was now very valuable.
Gleefully I raced to ebay to see if I could sell him and make my fortune......hmmmmm - never trust a newspaper - several of them at auction, none with any bids! Ah well, back to the drawing board. Oh and if anyone wants to give Mr Peanut a loving home, contact me and I'll send him to you for the cost of postage!
