I'm reflecting back at the first time I saw this brilliant image..Ai Li I can't stop smiling..

your most brilliant image Ai Li,great to see it again

Beautifully done and voted.
Communication is a two-way thing by the way, the image shows the frustration with both :-)

Your imagination seem have no boundaries. And your technique is perfect. Great image Ai Li. Voted

I suppose you're right... we all have felt like that sometime.
Even without your thoughts behind it, the photo is very eye catching and thought provocking, and maybe because there's no face from which we can read the emotions, the photo makes us think and create our own story for it....
Well done ;)

Great idea and very well executed again. Vote.

Ai Li...the unplugged version. Abstracted to the simplicity of a message..press hold and walk away. One of your greatest. K

Brilliant illustration of a very interesting idea.
I had the reflex of thinking of how you did it, but that's really a distraction.
The details are all perfect. The curly wire for example is really a good idea for this high key, as it catches more shadow (?). The composition and negative space are terrific - giving a incongruous relation between legs and phone. Bravo, Ai Li. Vote.

This is McLuhan in all its glory: indeed the Medium is the Massage. Bravo!!!!

Ive really enjoyed, watching your talent and creativity grow over the months Ai Li. Youve posted many amazing images. But for me this is your finest hour. There is not a person in the world who could not relate to this image. Its quite incredible. Youve managed to capture the feeling of wanting to hear from someone but dont. The pain frustration and sheer arrgggggggggghhh is quite apparent here. One of the best pbase images of AL time:-) I adore it. Another which desreves its place in an art gallery. You are an inspiration and an amazing person to go with it. Pbase is blessed to have someone as speciAL as U. Im proud that I can say we are friends. X

Know the feeling.
But on the same token, I think I am too insecure to unplug & break free...
Guest 06-Dec-2006 19:31
Very creative. How do I do a similar concept with a cellphone, I wonder? :)

"Sorry, I cannot come to the phone right now, I am tied up at the moment"!

Your words are so very true. Fun image.

Exceptional! Love it, and the message.

Love the high key approach on this one particularly - really shows up on the texture of the phone and cord. Awaiting your next creation...

Brilliant idea, and well done.

All the time. I love the combination of humor and frustration. To communicate well is a struggle, one that bogs us down and binds us in hapless futility. You're coming through loud and clear.
