St. Bridget is one of the two patron saints of Ireland the other being St. Patrick.
She is reputed to have been born in Co. Louth, in Ireland in 453 a few years after St. Patrick's arrival.
Feb-1st is the feast day of St. Bridget.
On 2014-Feb-1st a major storm depression called Storm Bridget hit the west coast of Ireland.
