Tiny little things on the underside of an elm leaf,Although they look delicate, they are very strong and sturdy and manage to remain like this despite rain and strong winds. Green lacewings are beneficial insects, and their larvae, often known as "aphid lions" eat quantities of aphids. Neither adult nor larvae damage plants.
