Pale green assassin bug, female (Zelus luridus)

You can tell this is a female by the large size and by the large abdomen probably full of eggs ready to be laid. They create intriguing egg masses which look like red jelly with creamy white tubes. The entire mass measures about 1-2mm across. See them here http://www.pbase.com/laroseforest/image/156532529 and here: http://www.pbase.com/laroseforest/image/156388482

Fascinating image with great detail. Viewed in original size it looks dangerous and seems to live up to its name. "V"

This has to be one of my most unfavorite insects of all you've presented (maybe it's just the name ;-)), yet an excellent capture, with more of them on the way! V.
