"On the road"

An oldie, not sure if it is a goldie! Taken long ago when my pal (on the left)and I were hitch-hiking across Canada, starting out from Vancouver. Got a ride with the guy on the right, from Winnipeg to Fort William (present day Thunder Bay). My bible in those days was Jack Kerouac's "On the Road". Part of the first paragraph is given here:

"With the coming of Dean Moriarty began the part of my life you could call my life on the road."

Dean Moriarty of course, was Neal Cassady, crazy man Neal, be-bop artist... Well, those were the days!
