Pale green assassin bug nymphs and egg mass, Zelus sp.

Found this tiny gelatinous egg mass on a manitoba maple today. Clustered around it, and on nearby leaves, were the just hatched assassin bug nymphs. They were so tiny that they were almost invisible. The egg mass is about 4 or 5 mm in size.

I suppose they need to be invisible to survive. They do blend in well on the leaf. Exceptional detail. V.
