While trekking through the silt and water of the black ash swamp, on our way to the fen, we were amazed to find scores of this spectacular big orchid. This large orchid can grow to 3 feet.
wow, wow, wow...amazing photo and nicely framed off center! I was just speaking to someone on the weekend about a colony west of Ottawa that I may check out later this month and was told they needed another week or two before flowering.
